lived in Dubai with Rafaat and me.

Amira moved to
Karachi (Pakistan) with her mother Rafaat and went to Beaconhouse Nursery there.

In September 2002 Amira was
taken away unannounced from Karachi to Vancouver (Canada) by her mother.
In October 2002 Amira’s
mother Rafaat Khalid married Syed Farhad Shafaat (aka Tony Shafaat) in Surrey
(Canada).

Ever since my daughter Amira
Shaikh was taken away from Karachi I have not been able to meet with her or
speak to her. Amira should have the opportunity to share her life with both her natural
parents and I am confident that my daughter would easily adjust to a
shared nurturing like many other children from separated families do.
I look forward to the day when my daughter Amira will be old enough to understand that she has a real father who misses her dearly every day and that she will contact me soon on her own. She is also fortunate to have all her father's relatives - grandmother, uncles, cousins etc., who always wish for her the best in life and too look forward to meeting her very soon.
